LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENTS RECEIVE ACTIVE SHOOTER RESPONSE GEAR

Congratulations to the six MA Fire District 14 communities in the Central Region, Hopedale, Milford, Northborough, Shrewsbury, Southborough, and Westborough, who recently completed a project to outfit their Fire Departments with tactical personal protective gear and traumatic bleeding control equipment.

This equipment is part of an ongoing regional effort to provide operational training and equipment for emergency responders to safely and effectively respond to active shooter/hostile incidents where firefighters and emergency medical personnel could be tasked with entering hazardous situations alongside law enforcement to render care and evacuate victims.
