The Central Region Homeland Security Advisory Council, in partnership with the other Regional Councils of Massachusetts – Western, Southeast and Northeast – have developed a Cybersecurity Awareness Training Series for Municipal Officials. The series is launched during October 2020, which is both the Massachusetts and National Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

Six online learning modules, built on the Department of Homeland Security, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (DHS/CISA) Cyber Essentials Toolkit, lead municipal officials through a holistic approach to create a cyber-secure environment. Each module is brief, no more than ten minutes. Click here, to learn more and access the modules.

The Series consist of online learning modules and two virtual webinars which are FREE to everyone.

The two webinars feature a panel of both state and federal cybersecurity experts and more deeply explore the topic and allow attendees a chance to ask questions. The webinars will be held on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 27th. Registration is FREE but required. The link to register and for more information can be found here.
