The Central Region Homeland Security Advisory Council, with the support of the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency, held a Wide Area Search training for our region's Technical Rescue Teams and first responders.
The course is designed to teach participants about practical search methods and skills that can be applied to a vast number of critical situations, including natural disasters or terrorist incidents. The course was taught by Texas A&M's TEEX National Emergency Response and Recovery Training Center. The course was held over three days at the Town of Holden Public Safety Building and the Town of Auburn Fire Department Training Facility.
Thank you to everyone involved who helped make this training a success.
