MEMA Initial Damage Assessment (IDA)

Due to the severe storm damage in communities over the weekend (July 16-18), the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) has opened the Initial Damage Assessment (IDA) Online Portal.

The IDA is the first formal action the Disaster Recovery Unit takes to evaluate possible funding options and/or the disaster declaration process. The information you provide on the IDA will help inform the Recovery Unit if Preliminary Damage Assessments (PDAs) are necessary.

In addition to pictures, information on the following is sought by MEMA; Debris Removal (to include hauling and disposal only), Emergency Protective Measures (to include debris clearance and snow removal), Roads and Bridges, Water Control Facilities, Buildings and Equipment, Utilities, Parks, and Recreation.

Please see below for link to portal:

CMRPC would like to remind communities to document damage from any severe storm (photographs, etc.). Proper documentation will assist in future sources of funding.
